CHALLENGE

Sdara is a skincare brand with a hero derma roller that was marketed towards a female demographic (listing shown below). Since that product was performing well, our team decided to launch two new products; a facial ice roller and black derma roller. However, we wanted to market these products to both male and female audiences as well as reduce the amount of noise on the listings so the new imagery spoke for itself.

APPROACH

To achieve a more minimalistic and gender inclusive brand look & feel, we decided to put together a low-budget production. We put together a production deck of where we are to where we wanted to be. This included analyzing what our current listings looked like, highlighting what our competitors do well, mood boards of successful skincare product & lifestyle photography, as well as a shot list that would help us execute our plan on the day of the shoot. We hired male and female talent and focused on the ways you used these products on the skin. Our new imagery and video content successfully captured SHOWING how to use these products, so that we avoided loading the listing creative with too much copy.
